Evelyn was such a caring and selfless person. When my husband passed away in February of 2014, she was always doing something to make all of my Valentines Days and Holidays, in general, easier for me to get through with my own grief. On each Valentines Day she would make a point to send me flowers, take me to breakfast or to bring lunch to my work and we had a wonderful picnic lunch on the grass near where I was working at the time. She also helped me, at least a few times, clean my house so that my husband would come home from the hospital to a semi-clean house, before he passed away. During the other holidays she would always threaten to come get me to make sure I didn't fall into my own pity party. She was always so encouraging to me. I'm am so blessed to have known Evelyn and all of her family.
