Mrs. Laura Huey Lum was born December 25, 1922 in Guangzhou, China. She was a long-time resident of Fresno, California, and passed away on Tuesday June 5, 2018, in Lafayette, California where she resided for the last 7 years to be near several of her children.

Laura is survived by; daughter Debbie Koo; daughter Kathy Nakaoka; son-in-law Russell Nakaoka; daughter Doreen Marr; son-in-law Whitney Marr; daughter Natalie Lum Freedman; son-in-law Paul Freedman; and son Kevin Scott Lum; sister Mary Fung, brother Harry Huey, sister-in-law Barbara Huey, brother Roy Huey, sister-in-law Florence Huey, sister Deanna Lee, brother-in-law Jimmy Lee and sister-in-law Kazuko Huey, and eight grandchildren and their spouses; one great - grandchild. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband Tim Man Lum; brother James Huey, son-in-law Peter J.S. Koo; brother-in-law Herbert Fung.

A funeral service for Laura will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at First Chinese Baptist Church, 6080 N. Angus , Fresno. Interment at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman Ave, Fresno, California 93706.
