Sandy (Sandra) J. Loughead

Sandy was born in Bakersfield, CA on May 13, 1950 and passed away on November 27, 2019. She graduated from Wasco High and moved to the big city of Fresno to attend college, where she worked at the golf course and met John, they traveled half way around the world for months and then settled in Fresno and had a beautiful baby girl. Before she retired, Sandy worked with the IRS for over 30 years. Sandy loved to work in her yard, ride bikes, long lunches with her daughter and cooking with Tony.

Shanon and Tony Dennis and I are so shaken by the loss of Sandy. We were blessed we reconnected after many years. We bought a beautiful Blue Aptos ( John's favorite pine tree) to plant in the front yard at our Mt. vacation home and named it John after John because he did so much for Dennis in his first home and for us here at our home with landscaping, Sandy was so happy to hear the story of John the tree we sent a picture of John to her. We plan to put a plaque in memory of John and now a second tree or bench next to John dedicated to both John and Sandy. We are so happy they are now together again at peace with no pain, We all plan to join them someday for that party in Heaven!! Tony and Shanon please contact us we are always here for you.

Love, Dennis and Davida Schmidt

Sandy was one of my first heroes. She was a role model for kindness, generosity, adventure and a great sense of humor. She brightened any space she entered. Her words of wisdom and advice will always be with me. May you rest in peace, Sandy.
