Michael Albert Williams

December 17, 1958January 10, 2016

Michael Albert Williams, a life-long resident of Front Royal and affectionately known as “Bubba” in a certain circle of friends, born on December 17, 1958 died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Mike is survived by his parents S. Maynard Williams and Annie Mary “Ducky” Williams, his brother, I. M. “Stan” Williams, his sister, Melody Williams Canard, his niece, Abby Rose Canard all of Front Royal, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Mike graduated from Warren County High School in 1977 and went on to be self-employed. Mike was an accomplished and talented wood worker and there wasn’t a small engine around that he couldn’t fix or a lawn he wouldn’t take care of. In addition to being an avid Redskin fan, Mike was also a member of the Moose Lodge #829 and BPOE #2382. Mike looked forward to the week at the Tappahannock every year. Mike was the most kind and tender hearted person you ever knew, always there when you called and would never say no to anyone. He might not have always had a lot to say but you could always depend on getting that tilted head, sideways grin and a chuckle. A celebration of life with the family will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home.

I will miss my cousin Mike dearly. I remember when My husband Jeff and I went with Melody and Mike to Yams Comedy Club. My husband actually participated in the amateur stand up contest and won. We had a blast that night. There was another time when all the cousins were little and were at Aunt Irene's house in Winchester watching the Apple Blossom Parade, half the cousins would go down to the corner and get on TV while the other half of the cousins would be watching on TV at Irene's house. Then we would switch places. Such good times we had when we were little. Mike you will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the family. All my love Saundra, Jeff, Jeffery, and Cari
