Patricia (Pat) Louise Pritekel, 86, of Loveland, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020. She was born in Denver to Lawrence and Margaret Bloom on November 1, 1933. She graduated from Westminster High in 1951 and attended Colorado State Teacher's College (UNC). She married Fred A. Pritekel on October 23, 1954.

The family moved to Evergreen in 1964. While Pat was a busy homemaker raising four children, she was a Campfire Girl leader, a Jefferson County Election Judge and an early childhood educator at Wilmot Elementary School from 1975-1990. She was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Pat and Fred moved to Loveland in 1999 and became parishners at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church where she became a member of the Knights of Columbus Sweethearts. They both enjoyed square dancing with the Fort Collins Collinaders. Pat enjoyed sewing, knitting (member of the Rocky Mountain Machine Knitters), crafts, gardening, baking and cooking. She especially cherished time spent with friends, family and their faith community.

Pat is survived by her husband Fred of 65 years; children, David (Susan) of CO, Kathleen (Kelly) Penman of IA, Richard of CO, and Cynthia of CO; grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Pritekel, Joshua (Sanira) Pritekel, Joshua (Aja) Tolve, Kelly (Wendy) Penman Jr, Paul (Jenny) Penman, and Katie (Clint) Penman; 7 great-grandchildren; Tina, Danica, Audrina, Levi, Kennedy, Lincoln, Mila; sisters, Joanne (James) Persichetti and Shirley (Mark) Gisi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary and Mass will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland with inurnment and reception to follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association Rocky Mountain Chapter ( / 10855 Dover St, Westminster CO 80021) or the Colorado Right to Life ( / PO Box 1145, Wheatridge, CO 80034).
