Todd went to be with his Savior Friday evening. He was born on Easter Sunday to David and Lou Etta Eager in Oxnard, CA. Todd grew up in Ventura, CA with his seven brothers and sisters. He attended several colleges for criminal justice, meeting his wife at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA.
Todd and Jani were married in 1982 and settled in Colorado Springs where two children, Jennifer and Jason were born to them. Later the family moved to a small ranch in Eastern Colorado fulfilling a lifelong dream of Todd’s. Todd enjoyed cattle ranching and fell in love with the countryside and a simpler lifestyle.
When the children were grown, health issues forced Todd and Jani to a hot and dry climate and they thrived for 11 years in Henderson, NV. Leaving behind newfound friendships, Todd and Jani moved back to Southern California for additional healthcare and to be closer to family. Todd loved being back in Southern California and spent many hours in the backyard visiting with family and enjoying the weather and the various fruit trees.
Todd is survived by his wife, Jani Eager, his children and their spouses: Jennifer and Geoff Meiser, and Jason and Rebekah Eager. His four grandchildren: Ivy, Violet, Andrew and baby Eager. Three brothers and their spouses: Tim and Pam Eager, Tom and Leanne Eager, and Terrin and Sherry Eager. Three sisters and their spouses: Tamara and Nikema Tripp, Trish Terry and Tanci Eager. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by both of his parents and one sister (Trina).
A private family service will be held at a later date at Ramah cemetery in Ramah, Colorado.
