Jackie Lou Salmons, 78, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on February 13, 2018 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18 at the funeral home. Jackie was born January 26, 1940 in Morgan County, Missouri to Vernon and Lela Fisher Siegel who preceded her in death. She was married to Joe D. Salmons on June 12, 1959 in Callaway County and he preceded her in death in 2016. She grew up in Guthrie, Missouri and graduated in 1957 from New Bloomfield High School. She had worked at the Fulton State Hospital for many years and then as a rural route carrier in the Fulton area for thirteen years until her retirement. Jackie was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fulton. She loved Jesus and wanted everyone to experience salvation. Her love of family was evident in her activities and conversation. Her most recent joy was visits from her great-grandkids. She spent many hours on bleachers watching her kids and grandkids in their various sports and school activities. Jackie loved her family gatherings and especially looked forward to the Siegel sisters monthly meal and domino playing. In past years, Jackie was known for her cooking, softball and bowling skills. Jackie could be seen regularly garage saleing early morning looking for something someone might need. Jackie is survived by sons, Brad (Jana Rae) Salmons of Fulton and Brent (Jennifer) Salmons of Fulton; daughter, Jennifer “Jill” Davis of Fulton; brother, John (Becky) Siegel of Guthrie, Missouri, Jerry (Lois) Siegel of Fulton and Jeffery (Glenda) Siegel of New Bloomfield; sisters, Joan (Jimmie) Keeling of New Bloomfield, Jean (Larry) Masek of Fulton, Janice Brueggeman of Fulton and Joy Birkner of the state of Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Martha Siegel of New Bloomfield and Dorothy (Eugene) Vaughan of Fulton; grandchildren, Jaymie Hitchcock of Overland Park, Kansas, Jaylyn (Jonah) Wilson of Fulton, Jenna (Felix) Rodriguez of Lawrence, Kansas, Briar Davis of Columbia, Missouri, Jacquelyn Salmons of Fulton, Jessica Salmons of Fulton and Janae Salmons of Fulton along with three great-grandchildren, Keaton Hitchcock, Attley Davis and Judah Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Donald Salmons; infant brother, Jay Hall Seigel; brothers, Joe Siegel and his wife, Joann and James Siegel; sister, Judy Veit; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Brueggeman and Frank Birkner and nephew, Greg Siegel. Jackie was such a sweet girl as we grew up in the Guthrie community & Dry Fork Church. I remember what a beautiful girl & woman she was. She always had such a radiant smile. May the wonderful memories warm & heal your hearts. God Bless.
