Treva Lee Jennings, 82, formerly of New Bloomfield, MO passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, MO surrounded by her family. Treva was born on March 22, 1937 in Tunas, MO the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Stidham) Hack who preceded her in death. She was married on October 10, 1954 in Tunas, MO to Jack Jennings who preceded her in death on March 21, 2000. Treva was a graduate of Tunas High School and soon after became a licensed cosmetologist. She owned and operated Treva’s Beauty Shop in New Bloomfield, MO for over 20 years. In the late 1970’s she worked for Central Missouri Counties Human Development Corporation as a Caseworker. Through her social work there she was inspired to start her own business, Transportation and Limited Care, Inc., which provided transportation, homemaker, chore and personal care for all of central Missouri. In 1981 Treva incorporated TLC Home Health Care and began providing skilled nursing care as one of the first home health agencies in the State. In 1984 she was appointed by Governor Christopher Bond to serve on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging and was also named ABWA Boss of the Year. Treva served as President and Executive Director of TLC until her retirement in 1995. Treva enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting and quilting. She loved gardening and could be found outside on any sunny day “playing in the dirt.” She also had a passion for rummage sales and an eye for antiques. Treva’s greatest love and what she would say was her greatest accomplishment was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was everything to her.
