Charles Leon Cambron passed away February 8, 2019. Visitation will be 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Collier Butler with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing. Charles was a 1948 graduate of Anniston High School and attended Jacksonville State University. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. He was a member of Briarmeade Golf Club for over fifty years, and he treasured the life-long friendships that were formed there. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Cambron; daughters Beth (Wayne) Hill and Nancy Bice; grandchildren Josh (Heather) Hill; Emily (Kevin) Hanner; Andrew Bice; Bennett Bice; Cambron Bice; brother Bill Cambron; niece Debbie Brooks; nephews Bubba Cambron; Barry Cambron; Earl Cambron. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Johnny Bone. Honorary pallbearers bill be golfing buddies at Briarmeade and Ray Grigsby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home - Oxford Campus, 1210 Friendship Road, Oxford, AL 36203 or oxford@alabamachild.org.
