Julia Christine Lancaster

Celebration services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Christine Lancaster, 76, of Gadsden, who passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. Rev. Joe Fain will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Lancaster was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was affiliated with North Gadsden Baptist Church and was retired from Digestive Disease Specialists. She enjoyed playing cards with the girls and had enjoyed bowling for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Morris Lancaster.

She is survived by her children: Brad (Sheila) Lancaster, and Dirk Lancaster; grandchildren: Regan Lancaster, and Colin Lancaster; great-grandchild, Cooper Lancaster; special nieces and nephews: Stephen Moat, Joey Moat, April Mayben, and Lori Deerman.

Pallbearers will be: Stephen Moat, Joey Moat, John Waddell, Duke Livermore, Vince Mayben, and Bill Vasser.

Honorary pallbearers will be: David Johnson, and Dr. V. J. Tummala.

Special thanks to the paramedics and medical personnel of Gadsden Fire and Rescue, and the ER staff at Riverview Medical Center.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1m, 2012 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
