I met Bill years ago at a Nonprofit conference in San Francisco - I have never met anyone so passionate about fundraising effectiveness. He was a hard-working, remarkable guy. I am sorry for your loss. Belated condolences on his passing.

Bill was a kind and caring person who always brought a positive attitude to the board of the Center for Partnership Systems (CPS). His passion for CPS and Riane Eisler's work was boundless and it made working with him a joy.

He will be sorely missed.

I will miss you greatly Bill. It was always comforting having you and Margaret as neighbors. You made several efforts to bring the neighbors together in your home. Because of you, I got to know the community better. when my parents came to visit for the first time, you invited us over. There are too many fond memories to count, but, most of all, you made me feel safe, loved and appreciated.

I will miss your walks around the neighborhood and your pleasant smiles.

My deepest condolences to the family and in particular Margaret and Debby. May you be comforted knowing that Bill was a wonderful person and touched many lives.

I have lots of memories of Grandpa Bill taking my brothers and I to the park near Debbie’s house in Maryland when we were kids. It was always a highlight of our trips. But the memory that stands out at this time came from just last year, when I was deep in a job search, and began looking into non-profit jobs. After all of his work with non-profits, he was eager to support and help me in any way that he could.

Though I ended up in a different job anyways, I remember his kindness and desire to help.

Grandpa never missed a birthday; I even received a call a couple of weeks ago on my most recent one. Never missed a holiday. And he was there for every important event that he could be at.

We’ll miss you Grandpa Bill. Thanks for all of your love and kindness.

I had the distinct honour and joy of working (virtually) with Bill for more than 20 years as our outstanding volunteer board member and Treasurer at the Center for Partnership Systems.

In addition to the knowledge of nonprofits and "all things financial," it was the fun and entertainment of chatting with Bill-- hearing about family, travels to the UK, golf, etc.  One great trip to DC (I was based in CA) for work meant stealing Bill for coffee and an actual in-person meeting.  What a delight and a wonderful memory.

I send my deep condolences to the Levis family.  Thank you for sharing this incredible, fun, spirited man with so many!

I met Bill twenty some years ago, when he suddenly appeared and offered to volunteer for the Center for Partnership Studies. He was a Board member, ardent supporter, Treasurer, and a great treasure himself! I will personally miss him very much, and so will everyone on the CPS team. Bill was an amazing human being. I am so privileged and blessed by Jehovah God who put him in my path when I was a 15 year old young girl. He was my mentor and a father figure that I needed so desperately at such difficult years. He showed me what respect means and how a father should treat a daughter. Bill taught the values as an employee and how an employer should treat his or her employee. There are so many things I can say about Bill that I wouldn’t be able to finish. But one memory  stands out I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter  he came to my office and said “Isabel you need to take a nap pregnant women need to take a naps. 
He would allow me to nap 
during work hrs. Another example of his kindness and wisdom was when my daughter was two years old. He came to my office and said, “Isabel, is time for you to leave this job you need to earn more money. You need to be in a job where the employer pays you well and also puts money aside for you so when you retire or if you need to borrow from that money if you have an emergency. “ He did the resume for me and the first job we found in The NY Times in accounting I went  for the interview loved the people and the job. After one day Bill asked me,  “did you call them? I said no. He. Said “ how you are going to get the job if you don’t call them? He said “let’s call them”  I called and while I was talking with them he took the phone away and told them “if you don’t hire this girl you are crazy, she is my employee and I am pushing her to get another job because she deserve to get more money. If you hire her I will come to your office and make your office computerized”.To make the story short they hired me. Bill came to the office and did as he promised them. I stayed with that company until they close down and then was able to get another job on my own paying me good money using all the business tools Bill taught me well.  Bill has always been part of my life in good times and in bad time. I will forever be so grateful  that I was able to meet Bill and that he has always been part of my life. He will alway be in my heart. I am heart broken of his passing.

We remember the times Bill visited UK to see  Margaret's family, and his love of Prudhoe golf course, he liked to go early in the day and enjoy the very light early mornings. He made some good friends over here, and we all looked forward to seeing him. He was a lovely man and will be missed. Sending our condolences, David and Kelsey, Bills brother and sister in law.

Dear Margaret, sorry I cannot be there  for you today. Bill was a vet good friend for more than 50 years. I will miss him. Love, Jerry and Linda.

We are so glad to have met Bill. We still remember him at Matt and Lauren's engagement party, at the Mother's Day picnic at Lake Needwood, and at Matt and Lauren's wedding, as if it was just yesterday. He was a truly special man.  Thank you for sharing him with us.
