Pat, you were always a hoot. I never knew what you would say or do next. You always made me laugh. I enjoyed your kisses on top of my bald head every Sunday. I will miss you and the kisses.

From the time we first met at Gaston College, I knew you were a special lady. We connected right away. You were the best! We not only went to college together, we went to church together. You were the life of the party! I so enjoyed the times we had breakfast, lunch, and trip to the mountains, also all the visits in your home. Reading a book to you, reading the Bible and discussions. All the fun times. We cried together too but then we would end up with a chuckle. Pat, you were my best Buddy and I will miss you so much! I am looking forward to reunion time so we can all be together again. You are having a great time now , I know. I love you and will see you again.
To the family, I love all of you. I will be praying for you. Let me know if I can help you. Love Patsy

I quess you could say I hit the lottery of mothers cause she was truely the best . Love and miss you mom.

Pat was such a special person. Not many people have touched my heart the way she did. I remember going to church and she walked in and “ordered” me to stand up so she could give me a hug and a kiss and I knew I was accepted by her. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile when I visit North Carolina. I though know she is totally whole and loving heaven so much! I will see her again and what a wonderful time we will have! To the family, my deepest sympathies to all of you and if I can do anything please let me know.

You have been a sister , a mother and a friend to me my whole life. No matter what I needed you were always there for me. You sacrificed for others in need. You prepared many meals and family get togethers to keep us together. You were so excited when I started canning to carry on what you loved to do most. I hope you are gardening now and bossing Mother around like she loved to do to you. I am saddened but happy at the same time that you have left us. I know you are without those oxygen lines and I bet your walking all over Heaven . God received one of the best, when he received you. I know you will watch over me now as you always have. I will see you again someday. I love you forever and always. Your Sis, Susie

I enjoyed the times we spent in the kitchen as I watched her cook and when she explained how to can, which of course went straight over my head.
She was so happy when she got to spend time with her grand daughters and play with them.
Towards the end, it was a relaxing time watching the same westerns over and over again with her, laughing at how silly some of them were.
We will miss you and love you very much.
