Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 3:00 PM from the Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana with Reverend Rick Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery, Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.
Visitation with the immediate family will be from 12:30 PM until 2 pm and with other friends and family visiting from 2 pm until service time at 3pm.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Wylene Craft (Larry), grandsons, Chad Butts (Brooke) and Otis Smith (Stacy), and great grandchildren, Brady Butts, Brooklyn Kate Butts and Luke Smith and by her brother, Don Gipson (Leona) and many beloved nieces and nephews and a very special friend like a daughter, Jackie Frost.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Mr. Luther Smith, and by her daughter, Debbie “Debo” Urquhart (Wayne) and brothers, Kenneth Gipson, Glenn Gipson and sister, Mildred Gipson Parker and by her parents, P. G. and Beatrice Hammock Gipson.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Gipson, Donnie Gipson, Bert Wester, Larry Waid, Larry Hughes, and Jerry Huckaba. Cecil Gipson as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
