Claude "Ray" Raymond Bradsher, age 93, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023. Ray was born in Paragould, Arkansas to William Claude Bradsher and Mamie Eunice Patishall. He served in the Korean War in the Army. Once out of the military, he met his wife, Mary, and they were married in January of 1956. They had two children, Lloyd and Debbie.
For most of his career, Ray was the manager of the Chamber of Commerce in North Kansas City, Missouri. He was very enthused about his hobbies, which included flying, stereos, photography, hunting, and computers. At the age of 60, he got saved at the First Baptist Church in Henrietta, Missouri, where he later became a deacon. He and Mary were very involved in their church and also volunteered for the Shepherd Center in North Kansas City, Missouri.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and his sisters, Wanda Scruggs and Louise Winer. He is survived by his children, Lloyd Bradsher and Debbie Stevenson; his grandchildren, Louise Harris, Jordan Bradsher, and Patrick A. Stevenson; and his great-grandson, Brennan Crawley. When he was three years old, Brennan started calling Great Grandpa Ray "RayPa," and that's what we've all called him since.
A visitation for Ray will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Ray will be laid to rest in White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
