Richard was born July 6, 1946 in Mandan, North Dakota, the son of Joseph, Sr. and Cecelia (Bender) Dworshak.
He is survived by, Marge Dworshak; their children, Stephanie (Dan Eckel) Dworshak Gaddis, Christine (Brinton) Hallum, and Kevin Dworshak; grandchildren, Faith and Maya Shost, Jayson Hallum, Tim and Cody Gaddis. He is also survived by 5 brothers, Jerry (Colene), Terry (Rita), Joe, Jr. (Linda), David, and Jeff (Michelle) Dworshak; sisters, Sandy Svihla, JoAnn (Rick) Schmaltz, Beverly (Rich) Hausauer; brother-in-law, Pete Deichert; plus many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanette Dworshak and Cindy Deichert; and his son, Daniel Dworshak.
Richard grew up on the family farm in Solen, ND. After graduating from Solen HS, he drove a dairy truck. Everything he earned that summer, he gave to his parents to put running water and sewer in the family home. That fall he entered the US Army and served proudly until his discharge in 1967.
After the Army, he went to NW Electronics Institute in Minneapolis, MN. During that time, he met the love of his life, Marge at a dance in Withrow, MN. He had a career in Management with AT&T.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing, joking around, and spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughters, Faith and Maya.
