She was born in Rexford, Kansas and attended nursing school and graduated in Topeka, Kansas. Amaryllis later moved to Kansas City, married and had two children. She later remarried after the loss of her husband. Later they moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
Amaryllis was a registered nurse where her career included emergency room nursing, to a doctor’s office, to psychiatric nursing and also as lead nurse at a local Phoenix hospital. After retiring she traveled the United States with Don by her side. Her hobbies included crafts, cards and bingo. She was smart, funny and a joy to be around.
Amaryllis is survived by her husband; Don Tiffany, daughter; Roxanna Phillips, son; Don Hutchinson, sister; Floy Jacobson, brother; Dale “Sonny” Davis, brother in law; Joe Jacobson, sister in law; Julie Davis, granddaughters; Melissa Hutchinson and Jordon Bango, grandsons; Justin and Nick Bango, great granddaughter Samantha and Autumn Armstrong, great grandsons; Elias Castro and Isaac Armstrong. Always supportive of her family she will be dearly missed by all.
A viewing will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ. From 5-8 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Service and burial will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ at 9:30 am. There will be a reception following the burial at the home, 5647 N. 39th Drive, Phoenix, AZ.
