I did not have the pleasure of knowing Zora in her earlier days. My memories are of a sweet lady vibrant with the love of music and of her daughter supporting her and providing loving care. I pray that both find peace and Dawn is comforted knowing that her mom has joined the "Big Band". Thank you for letting me be a small part of your lives!

My deepest condolences to the Martin family. May the God of comfort fill you with peace during this difficult time. We are assured of His tender concern in 2 Corinthians 2:3,4 where we read “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.” Zora’s memory will forever be treasured by all her knew her including her beautiful smile. We will keep your family in our prayers.

I remember my Aunt Zora and Uncle Nolan always being so much in love. My Aunt Zora and my mom would always entertain us with songs they used to sing on the radio and with the song my Aunt Zora wrote and composed herself. I love my Aunt Zora and I know her and Uncle Nolan are dancing in Heaven now. The four sisters is how we always thought of the because they would all come together even in their older years.

I sang with Zora over 20 years in New Orleans Blend Sweet Adelines and also 2 quartets named The Four Steps and A -Z plus a group of 10 gals that sang wherever and whenever we could all over New Orleans. We sang many times at The World's Fair in '84. For birthdays, office parties, The Convention Center and our true claim to fame in Antoines restaurant who didn't allow entertainment. Once in the restaurant by request the dining customers wouldn't let us leave until we sang for many of the groups. They tipped us as well.
I have missed and will continue to miss my singing buddy. I know she is happy to be in heaven with Jesus and Nolan.
