On January 21,2022 at the age of 88, our beautiful, beloved Donnie Lee Causey McMillon, affectionately known as Mo Donnie, was welcomed into Heaven after a fiercely fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born a resident of Galvez, LA on October 5, 1933, she later moved with her family to French Settlement where she lived until her passing. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. She retired from K-Mart in the early 1990’s to go to Total Learning Center where she retired at the age of 80. Donnie enjoyed her annual Tennessee trips with her daughters, sister and friends, working on jigsaw puzzles, being a seamstress, watching her Saints and Tigers play football and making holiday treats. She was mostly known for her absolute love of everything Christmas and her family. Her family was as important to her as the air she breathed. The love she gave was amazing and unconditional, and her generosity knew no bounds. If you were fortunate enough to meet her you became instant family and always had a place at her table. She is survived by five children, Steve Mire (Laura), Renee Knighten, Ronnie McMillon (Gladys), Tammy Holden and Vicki West (Troy); 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, Holly Mire Templet (Travis), Trevor, Kennedy; Shelly Murphy Pendergrass (Patrick), Kristopher (Dena), Collin; Brooke Knighten Warnke (Buddy), Lucas; Kassie McMillon Lobell (Scott), Owen, Evan, Levi; Brittany McMillon; Colby Villar (Kylie), Cash; Jacob Villar, Rayna, Layla; Kacie Villar; Deric Morales (Traci), Destin, Khloe; Paige Morales Brouillette (Shawn), Jacelyn and Shawn Paul; and two very special, lifelong friends, Delores Dixon and Joyce Lambert.
