Genevive "Sheila" Kling

Genevive “Sheila” Kling, 72, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018. She was a native of San Antonio, TX and a resident of Gonzales, LA. She was a fun loving mother, grandmother and great friend. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Sheila is survived by daughters, Sherry Sanders, Tonya Powers and Craig; sons, Gregory Kling and wife Sharon, Brett Kling and wife Gabby; sister, Marie Johnson; brother, William “Bill” Scheel and wife Jerie; 8 grandchildren, Joey and Jeanine Gaudet, Seth Kling, Hannah, Halie and Harlee Powers, Liam and Braxton Kling; 3 great-grandchildren, Kadon Gaudet, Hannah Gaudet and Luke Kling and former husband, Oreal “Podot” Kling. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Rosemary Scheel, Sr.; daughter, Jodi Lynn Kling; brother, Alvin Scheel, Jr.; brother-in-law, Eugene “Sandy” Johnson and mother-in-law, Helen Arceneaux. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5PM – 9PM and will resume Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9AM until service at 11AM.
