Allan Dale Wyer Sr., 75, of Madison, Tennessee, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 11:10am, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman, Illinois. He was born Thursday, August 12, 1943, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Orville D. and Alice {Bryant] Wyer. He was first married to Marion Jones and later was wed to Glenda Faye George.
He is survived by: his son, Allan Dale Wyer Jr.; his daughter, Maggie (Tom) Craft; his step-daughters, Traci Dawn Cunningham-Brown and Staci Cunningham Walling; his seven grandchildren; his nine great grandchildren; his sisters, Rhea (Harrell) Brooks and Sheila (Wes) Grunden; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Darla Perisho.
Allan loved to go fishing and hunting. He was known as a great singer and dancer and was always telling jokes. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding. When he was younger, he worked at the family-owned Georgetown IGA for several years. Allan later worked at TeePak in Danville as a tech rep. He and his wife, Glenda, went back to school to obtain their LPN degrees. He was known for his humor and uplifting attitude. Allan will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation was held 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Monday, December 17, 2018 at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, Illinois and Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 12:00 until 1:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, Tennessee
He will be laid to rest 1:00 Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Bro. Jack Oden will officiate over the graveside service.
