Billy Joe Seals, age 87, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018. Mr. Seals was born Monday, November 17, 1930 in Old Hickory, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Cleva Denton Seals and daughter, Anita Heavener.
He was an avid baseball player growing up and enjoyed playing golf later in life. Mr. Seals was a veteran of the US Navy; worked for DuPont, retired from Ford after 20 plus years and owned Century 21Seals Realtors and Auction.
Mr. Seals is survived by his wife of 65 years, Montye Corley Seals; daughters, Terry Seals, Tracey Seals; son, Joey Seals and his wife Shannon; nine grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Heavener, Amy and Emily Hutchins, Ben Burton, Morgan Rangel, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Jacob Seals; three great-grandchildren, Bekah and Lydia Rangel; Carson Griffith.
A celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Vanhooser officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Bill Seals, Jonathan Seals, Jacob Seals, Scott Nimmo, Chris Rangel, Ben Burton, Jason Griffith and Richard Nimmo.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Seals at a visitation Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15 and 16, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072
