John "Johnny" Charles Swann Jr.

John C Swann Jr., age 70, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. John was born Tuesday, November 20, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, John Charles Swann, Sr and Della W. Fox Swann; grandparents and other family members.

John “Johnny” Charles Swann Jr., of Hendersonville, gained his wings of perfection on Monday December 6 with his brothers, Clay and David and sister-in-law Sue by his bedside holding his hands and sharing God’s love with him.

Johnny was a loving and compassionate man who knew no stranger and always share a smile to everyone he saw. At the age of 23 months, Johnny was struck with spinal meningitis, which left him developmentally disabled for the next 68 years of his life.

Johnny loved trucks, bowling, rides and going out to eat with his siblings and friends. He loved to watch westerns and eat MCD hamburgers. His smile and laughter would light up any room.

Today we celebrate his life as he has gained perfection. No longer trapped within a mind of unknowingness. He is finally whole, praising God with our mother and father; grandparents and other family members.

Johnny will be missed by all who knew him…

Johnny is survived by his loving siblings, Peggy Diane Cole (James), of Humble TX, Robert Clay Swann of Madison, TN, Howard David Swann (Sue) of Hendersonville, TN, 6 nieces; 4 nephews; 3 great-nieces; 7 great-nephews; 1 great-great niece; cousins and friends.

A visitation for John will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee followed by a a celebration of life at 2:00 PM with Father Jeff Jones officiating.

John will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
