Barbara worked as a Nutritionist/Dietician for hospitals in Gainesville as well Orlando. She retired as a Claim Specialist for United Health Care and started volunteering as a Care Support element at Orlando Regional Medical ( Orlando Health).
Barbara loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to church and most importantly being with family and friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and the most contagious laugh in the world. If you needed a prayer warrior to battle for you, she was ready and eager to pray for you or with you.
She is survived by her son, Avery L. Lydell; daughters, Deborah R. Scott, Karamia S. Fielding, Luejeaner Kirtsey; and grandchildren, Sophia L. Scott, Shadea L. Scott, Constance J. Scott, Precious J. Scott, Hillary C. Scott, Ventesia L. Holland and Katiera D. Fielding. Barbara is also survived by her sister, Christine Williams Harrell and her nephews, Eric T. and Samuel L. Harrell.
Barbara will be dearly missed by children, family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 2:00 pm.
