She was born in Jasper, Tennessee on the 4th day of June 1931 to parents Earl Howard and Nancy “Nannie” Swafford Howard.
Mrs. Macy was a loving mother, grandmother, and she loved her family immensely. The Atlanta Braves were her favorite baseball team and she loved to watch and cheer them on. Mrs. Macy enjoyed canning vegetables, the outdoors, and fishing. Mrs. Macy was a true blessing to many people and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Nancy “Nannie” Howard; first husband, Andrew Gilliam; second husband, George Macy; sister, Martha Turner; brothers, Gene Howard, Bobbie Howard, and Carl Howard; and son-in-law, Dorsey Crose.
Mrs. Macy is survived by her daughters, Nanette Brock and husband Randy, Karen Crose, Diane Hutchinson and husband Tony, Connie Gresham and husband Charlie; sons, Paul Macy and wife Cindy and Curtis Macy and wife Becky. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor Mrs. Macy’s life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, June 28th at 11am.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials in Mrs. Macy’s honor can be directed towards your local church or a charity of choice.
