Georgia Ellen Turbyfill, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2019. She was born on April 9, 1948 in Flint to parents Lester and Evelyn (Long) Worden. Georgia enjoyed cooking for her family, her flower garden, and watching the hummingbirds every day. Family meant the most to her. She took on a strong roll and helped raise her two grandsons Aaron Lewis and Haustin Rich. She will be remembered as a loving and generous woman. Georgia is survived by her husband, Maynard Turbyfill; son, Jason Scott (Traci) Worden; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five siblings; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; daughters: Sonya Turbyfill-Rich and Tonya Turbyfill; two brothers, Ralph D. Worden and Gorden L. Worden. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Arora and his staff, especially Georgia’s chemo nurses, at the Karmanos Cancer Institute for their continuous care and compassion. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Karmanos Cancer Institute in memory of Georgia. A private family graveside service will take place.
