Jeanette Regina Whipple

WHIPPLE, JEANETTE age 83, of Chesaning, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, April 19, 2018. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 746 S. Saginaw St., Flint, MI. Rev. Paul Ytterock officiating. Visitation will be Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M., Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M Monday, at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Jeanette was born March 16, 1935 in Hamtramck, MI to parents Alex and Stella (Zabawa) Afelt. She graduated from Port Austin High in 1952. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, attending and serving for 50 years. Jeanette was active for many years in various fraternal organizations; Eastern Star of MI, Past Worthy Matron of Pilgrim Chapter #447, lifetime member Flint Chapter #138, Past President Genesee County Assoc., Publicity chairman of the Lockridge-Snider Grand Family, Grand Electa of the Plator-Haynor Grand Family, and Grand Rep. to Wisconsin of the Belknap-Hyde Grand Family; El Said Court #28 Ladies Oriental Shrine, Jesterettes, Band, and Pink Panthers. She volunteered at the Flint Masonic Temple chicken dinners, working faithfully for 39 years. She cherished her family and seeing her many grandchildren brought her much joy! She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 50 years, Graham T. Whipple Sr.; children Timothy McCarthy, Kathleen (Charles) Cooper, Erin (Jim) Corbin, Stasia (Rod) Larkin, Maria (Jim) Elliott, Graham Tyler (Toni) Whipple Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Sandra Gwaltney, brother Sonny (Diane) Afelt; sister Arlene Bowen; many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Raymond Boduch, Walter Boduch; in-laws in Love, Wayne and Gwendolyn Whipple; sister-in-love Christine Strickland. Contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
