Tony Chappelle. He was the best kind of man. He was fair, honest, loyal, courageous, intelligent, strong, funny, and secretly loving and compassionate. Although, if he heard me say that last bit he would have punched me. I haven't had many people in my life that I could look up to, but he was one. He taught me a lot of important lessons. To me, he was a more than just another roommate or shipmate, but a mentor and a true friend. Fair well Tony, fair winds and following seas until you find rest on the eternal golden shore. You are missed.

Tony was one of the last Boy Scouts. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would help anyone in need. Tho my husband Chuck and Tony weren't blood related, they were brothers for 22 years. We will always honor Tony and life will not be the same without him. We will keep him alive in our lives by remembering and sharing the precious experiences we had with Tony Chappelle.

Tony was a light in a dark time of my life. He always made me smile whenever he was around. The world is a little dimmer now that he is gone. I will miss him dearly.
