Bobby Ray Tubbs

Bobby was born in the summer of 1931 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma from the union of Robert Lee and Viola Ruth Tubbs.

After his family moved to California he lived in various cities between Glendale and Ventura.

After retirement from the Oxnard Police Department, he and his wife Connie traveled around the

US in a 5th wheel travel trailer, ultimately buying a condo in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1983.

He was a lifetime member of the Fuz that Wuz the (Oxnard Police Departments Alumni

Association) as well as the Blue Knights International Motorcycle club and a lifetime member

of the American Motorcycle Association. He has ridden a touring motorcycle all around the US

and northern Baja along with southern Canada.

Bobby enjoyed the friends he made over the last few years at Solstice Senior Living at

Mesa View in Grand Junction.

He was encircled by his two children and their spouses, six grandchildren and two of their spouses and two great grandchildren. at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, second wife, mother, father and 2 brothers.

The family would like to send a big Thank You to the great staff in the 3rd floor ICU of St. Mary’s Medical Center.
