Ms. Sarmo was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy of Grand Junction and Thomas of Denver; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Elaine R. Sarmo, 83, of Grand Junction passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2015, after a short illness. She was born April 15, 1932, the daughter of Carmela (Romano) Revielle and Frank Revielle. Elaine was raised by her beloved grandparents, Filomena and Rosario Romano, in Frederick, CO. She married the only love of her life Thomas G. Sarmo in 1951. They raised their family in Littleton, CO. They retired to Grand Junction in 1986 and enjoyed traveling and collecting art. He preceded her in death after 49 happy years of marriage. After her husband's death, Elaine was an active volunteer at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the symphony, the Art Center, her home and garden, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family.

Elaine was a wonderful homemaker and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Timothy G. Sarmo (Allison) of Grand Junction and Thomas R. Sarmo (Linda) of Denver; her grandchildren Jordan Sarmo Shakespeare (Carlo) of Lander, WY, Aaron (Juliana) Sarmo and Jillian Sarmo of Denver; and four dear and very special great grandchildren, Jaden, Myla, Tobyn, and Gabriela.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, 10AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 790 26 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Elaine's memory, if you so choose.
