Cynda grew up in Grand Prairie where she attended Grand Prairie High School. She worked as the head cake decorator at Kroger for 39 years before retiring in 2004. Cynda enjoyed shopping, playing cards, winning at bingo, country dancing, as well as glamping with her children. Cynda had a love for her collection of geisha dolls and enjoyed watching her daughter race at the dirt track races; but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cynda was a very feisty, strong willed woman, that strong will made her a hard worker, and provider for her family. Yet, she always made time to attend her children’s activities and is lovingly remembered by her daughters as a great mom. Overall, Cynda will be remembered as a great sister, and loving mother.
Cynda is preceded in death by her aunt Ina Naomi Sugg, brother Jesse D. Moore and brother-in-law Warren Cobb.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Jackson and her husband Leslie Jackson, Darla Kittrell; Granddaughter Holley Jackson; aunts: Maureen Moore, Ann Cannon, Polly Palmer; uncle John Stephens; nieces: Lori Messamore and her husband Charlie, Shelley Matamoros and her husband Robert, Kimberly Pinkerton and her husband Jody; great nieces: Megan Adams, Grace Matamoros; great nephews: Jonathan Messamore, Joshua Matamoros, Ethan Pinkerton and Noah Pinkerton.
Visitation for Cynda will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 with interment following at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
