J.C. Anderson

J.C. Anderson, affectionately know as “Hoppy,” went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the age of 93.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kate and D.A. Anderson, his son J.C. “Jack” Anderson Jr. and grandson, Barrett Wayne Johnson.

J.C. was born November 10th, 1919 in McKinney Texas and married Lou Ella Recer January 5th, 1940 celebrating 72 years of marriage.

J.C. was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Core; now know as the U.S Air Force. He was a hard worker retiring from LTV after 32 years of dedicated service where he was honored many times for his technical skills and loyalty. He was an former member of the Burbank Gardens Church of Christ where he lovingly served where needed. J.C loved fishing with his sons, grandsons and friends and always came away with a great catch. J.C. passionately loved his country and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a true Patriot.

He is survived by his wife Lou Ella Anderson, one sister, Mae Jones of Cedar Hill, Texas, a daughter-in-law Rita Anderson of Grapevine, Texas, two sons; Wayne and wife Carla of Grand Prairie, Texas and Terry and wife Winnie of Dallas, Texas. A daughter, Debbie and husband Brent Johnson of Grand Prairie, Texas along with eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

J.C.’s grandsons and great, grandsons, will honor their Hoppy by serving as his Pallbearers.
