GRAND PRAIRIE -- John Conner Robison, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in Arlington TX. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 9:15 am, Wednesday, January 30, at DFW National Cemetery. Open viewing 2-5 pm Tuesday, January 29 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth St, Grand Prairie TX. John was born August 28, 1932 in Pontchatula LA. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge LA, and Mountain View Community College in Dallas. John met the woman of his dreams on January 23, 1953 on a blind date and married her 15 days later. He retired as a Supervisor of Mails at the U S Postal Service-Airport Mail Facility in 1988 after 28 years of service. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1960. He served in Korea and Japan during the Korean Conflict. He also served at Naval Air Station, Dallas, Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth and El Toro California. John was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Trinity Valley Masonic Lodge, Dallas TX. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing and was an avid collector of just about anything. He will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and acquaintances. John was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth (Felder) Robison of Baton Rouge LA.
SURVIVORS: He leaves to mourn his passing, wife of almost 60 years, Peggy Sudderth Robison, son, Rocky Robison, daughter and son-in-law, Robby and Paul Sieminski, grandchildren, Blake and Paige Sieminski, numerous cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
