Trlica, Curt, Christie and Eric,
I was so sad to learn of Lanette's passing. Our mothers, Lora Lee and Marcel, were sisters. Lanette and I shared many happy holidays at our Mamaw and Papaw Brown's when we were kids.
Besides being a warm and caring mother and grandmother, she possessed many talents and interests. She had such a beautiful voice that we asked her to sing a solo at our wedding. Lanette and I shared a common interest in family history and genealogy and attended a few seminars on the subject together. She was a widely known prize-winning cake decorator and was always happy to make special occasion cakes for family and friends. I was lucky enough to attend a class she taught, although I never achieved her skill.
Most of all, she loved her family and was so very proud of her precious grandchildren, Eric and Tori, Celeste and Jackson. She will be greatly missed.
