Patricia A. Bryan went to be with her Lord February 17, 2013. She was born November 26, 1930 in Waco, TX to Guy Simmons and Rosa Mea Dillard.

Patricia was a very knowledgeable person. She loved to sit in bed and read or watch the news. She was very currant with what was going on in the world. She would read about history, politics and biographies just to name a few. When she did turn her t.v. on it was normally to watch old movies or the syfy channel.

Patricia liked to take care of her house, she has lived in the same house for over 50 years. Its where she raised her family, which is a very important thing to her. She always put her family first and loved the holiday gatherings. Patricia took such pride in her grandchildren. She would be content just watching her grandchildren play in the backyard. She loved them so much, it turned her into a worry-wart. It didn't matter what the situation was if it came to her family she would worry about them. Other than her family one thing that Patricia was obsessed with was aliens. She was so drawn to them that her sister got her a large "Roswell" poster for her walls.

Patricia is preceded by her husband Roy Bryan; son Bruce Giffith; parents Guy and Rosa Simmons; brother Dillard Simmons. She is survived by her son Peyton Bryan and wife Debra; daughter Niki Bryan; daughter-in-law Annabelle Griffith; grandchildren Peyton Bryan Jr., Alicen Griffith, Kelly Tylenda; great-granddaughter Annabelle Tylenda and her sisters Maxine Simmons and Shirley Chatham.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday February, 20, 2013 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home on Beltline Road at 12:00 p.m.

Peyton, my dear sweet husband, watching the way you tended to your mother was an honor. She loved and cherished her almost daily visits. Being present with her at the time she passed was a peaceful and beautiful moment. Just knowing she is at peace and once again with your dad is comforting.
My heart is with you always.
Your loving wife,
Debbie

Mom, now all of your worries and pain are gone and you can be at rest. I will cherish those days we spent curled up in bed watching old movies. Peyton and I will carry on together, until we meet again in heaven. Thank you for being our mom, you will carry our love with you. Give daddy a big warm hug from us and know our hearts will go on. You are forever loved, Niki and Peyton.

Please know my thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you all. Aunt Pat knew that laughter was truly good medicine. Worry-about you- of course! She loved you very much! No more worrying or suffering. She has gone to claim the promises. I missed being there today, but I celebrate her going home with you.

With much love,
