Rachel Ann was born on October 9, 1923, in Lewis County, Tennessee to Sam A. Brooks and Cora M Farris. Rachel graduated from high school in Hampshire, TN, and attended nursing school afterwards.
She married Arvin B. Connor on September 9, 1945, and had two daughters: Mary Jeannette and Ella Ann. She went on to retire from Texas Instruments as an administrative assistant in 1985.
Rachel Ann loved to cook, and provide for others; her greatest joy was going to church and worshipping the Lord. She was the primary example of what a servant’s heart should be.
Rachel Ann is preceded in death by her husband: Arvin B. Connor; parents: Sam and Cora Brooks; brother: James Brooks; great- grandson Ronald Seth Schieffer; and son-in-law Ronnie Axt.
She is survived by her Daughters: Mary Jeannette and husband Stowe Green; Ella Ann; Grandsons: Shad Green and wife Cara; Shawn Green and wife Kelley; Aaron Axt, and his sister Merri Axt; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.
A Visitation for Rachel Ann Connor will take place on Friday, September 14, 2018 at CrossPoint Church of Christ located at 3020 Bardin Rd, Grand Prairie, TX from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at CrossPoint Church of Christ at 10:30am; with burial at Southland Memorial Park 1100 SW 3rd St, Grand Prairie, TX afterwards.
