Waudelle “Dell” Ernestine Marsh Strickley at 88, took her last breath on December 12, 2018. She was born on September 15, 1930 in Richmond, Virginia to her loving parents Henry John Marsh and Addie Pate Marsh. Before her retirement, Dell worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an Environmental Protection Specialist for 34 years. She had enjoyed life to the fullest by being around her family and close friends. Family was the upmost importance to her. People will always remember her signature laugh. This laugh and many other memorable qualities will be missed dearly.
She preceded in death by her beloved husband for 45 years, Benjamin Julius Strickley; her loving two children, Timothy Lynn Strickley and Cynthia Ernestine Strickley; her blessed sister Lauretta Marsh Dixon and husband Bill Dixon.
Dell is survived by her loving children: Bonita Vorderkunz and husband Ricky of Edgewood, Texas; Karen Blocker in Cedar Hill, Texas; Debora Browning and husband Mark in Edgewood, Texas; David Strickley and wife Krista in Grand Prairie, Texas and Mike Strickley and wife Sheri in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her loving grandchildren: Trey Strickley, Daniel Blocker, Lane Strickley and wife Jenna, Ethan Blocker and wife Abby, Alyssa Strickley, Roby Strickley and Jon Strickley. In addition, she was blessed with loving great grandchildren: Kennedy May Blocker, Ellery Lynn Blocker and Brooklyn Strickley. Lastly, Dell is survived by her nephews: William Dixon and wife Susanne, John Dixon and wife Mary Beth and niece, Joanne Dixon. So many of her lifelong friends will cherish her memories.
