Frank William Most, age 69 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, unexpectedly passed away on January 4, 2019, going home to be with his Lord and Savior. Born on April 26, 1949, husband of Kathy Most (Huizinga) for nearly 50 years.

Frank is survived by children Michele (Ken) Schaafsma, Jennette (Chad) VanSweden and five grandchildren: Emma, Eli, Nick, Grace, and Colton. Surviving siblings are Maria Cox, Tom Most and Connie Vanderwall. He was preceded in death by parents Bill and Eunice Most.

Loving husband, father and doting ‘papa’, generous with his time and resources, he took pleasure in serving others and advocating for those in need. He never met a stranger and always had a smile and a story — to tell and retell—leaving those around him laughing.

Respected local business owner of Most Enterprising for over 50 years, hardworking and honest, he loved his work, his loyal crew and serving his clients. He enjoyed mentoring many young men to begin successful businesses of their own. He was active in Calvary Church and enjoyed riding with the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Just wanted to say what a great memorial service today - it was very special to know more about "Papa" and to be able to see and hear some of the great memories of his life with his family. The Radde's will continue to pray for your entire family! Isaiah 40:29

Kathy, Jeannette, Michelle, and family. We are all so sorry for your loss and know how difficult it will be, but are so thankful for the hope/promise of eternity in heaven that he is enjoying right now and that we will someday see our loved ones again. There are so many examples of God in Frank's life and so many words to describe him. He was a man of high character, hard working, loving, compassionate, faithful, adventurous, humble, with a great sense of humor and that laugh....he will be missed by so many people!! We love all of you and will be covering you with prayer. Doug, Wendy, Alyssa and Alayna

Kathy, so sorry to hear of your loss. I still remember Frank as that crazy guy in our Sunday school class at Berean. I scrolled through your photos and it didn’t look like he ever lost that craziness. So obvious how much he loved his family, and how much your grandkids loved him. I had hoped we could come to the funeral, but one of our grandsons is in the hospital and I’m keeping his baby sister during the day, so we won’t be able to come. I’m sure it will be a time of sharing great memories. Praying for you.

Frank You were what every man needs a Man to talk to a Man to listen and learn from a Man to laugh with and a Man one could Love and know he was Loved in return. Thanks for the Privilege of being part of your life. Love YOU. Jon

Kathy, words utterly fail at a time like this. We rejoice knowing that Frank is in the very presence of the One he served so well and yet our hearts break for you as you are thrust into having to process this sudden separation. May you know the" peace that passes all understanding" (Phillipians 4:7) and feel HIS comfort at this time. Praying for healthy grieving and His all-sustaining grace. Big hug. Phyllis and I just read the notice you posted and are in a state of shock and sadness. Words fail to express the sadness we feel for you and the family in the passing of Frank . Know that we are with you in spirit and will hold you and the family up in prayer now and in the days ahead. We pray that you will find peace and comfort in the many memories you shared together.
