After graduating from Wyoming Park High School, Jack attended Davenport Institute. He soon found his life’s calling in the floral business working for Stuyvesant, Ball Park, Grandville and Eastern Floral shops until retirement. His love of the theater took him from high school to the theaters all over West Michigan. Jack helped start new theaters, performed in over 80 plays, and especially enjoyed Circle in the Park, Children’s Theater. He performed with his sons, sons-in-law, and grandsons. In later years, his association with Master Arts Theater and traveling troupes out of Aquinas and Master Arts was especially meaningful. Active in church all of his life, he and his wife, Rose, were charter members of Georgetown United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Jack’s Life will take place in the future at his church. In honor of Jack and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his favorite charities: Georgetown United Methodist Church Memorial Garden, 2766 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI 49428 or Master Arts Theatre, 75 - 77th St. SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49548 or Circle Theatre, Dan Gillisse scholarship, 1700 Fulton SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506. Dear Rose:
My sympathy to you and your family. I have found memories of
Jack at Ball Park. Remembering working with both of you and
working all those holidays. I also remember how you helped me
when my Dave passed away .
My health is not the best right now. I am unable to drive but still
in the condo. Judy and I talked on Sunday and she had heard of Jacks passing . She said on Monday she was having a knee re-
placement.
Again my sympathy
Sincerely Paula Purzecki

To Rose and family,
My sincere sympathy to you and yours on Jack's passing. I have such fond memories dating back to when Jack auditioned for one of my first shows and his first acting gigs. He lit up the room with his laughter, wit, and excitement about life, his family, and the theatre. He acted in My Three Angels and now is one. He was a wonderful human and will make a lovely angel. It was my privilege to be in the Sherlock Holmes play at Master Arts with Jack a few years ago. He loved regaling us between shows with anecdotes of past plays and performers. He will be missed.

Such a wonderful person.
Such a caring, empathetic, talented gentleman.

Part of my favorite couple in our church.

He told many many jokes. I want to leave my favorite.

Deepest sympathy to the family for their loss. Jack not only had a sense of humor but he was one that would ask questions eliciting critical thinking within a group. He will be missed at GUM.

Rosalyn and Family - words cannot express the sadness this news had for us. Jack was a great guy! Always ready with a joke at coffee time. A cheerful volunteer at Feeding America and beyond. And a man with a great smile, which I will fondly remember making him give me every Sunday morning. He will be missed. Prayers for peace for your family.

Jack was a beautiful person . I will miss his big smile and “corny” jokes and great sense of humor. He was a great actor and I enjoyed working with him. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
