Charles Francis Boyd

He proudly served in the United States Navy during WW11.

He was married to Huena Rose Rogers Boyd for 50 years, who preceded him in death in 2002.

Cherishing his memory are children Barbara Boyd Cohen and husband Elliott, Tom Boyd and wife Ethel, Charles Boyd,lll and wife Patty, Richard Boyd and wife Charlene, Ruth Benker and husband Bob; grandchildren, Daniella Cohen, Cameron Cohen, Christopher Boyd and Erica Boyd, Melody Boyd and Scott Boyd and Michele Boyd and Samantha Boyd: great grandson, Teddy Boyd; numerous extended family and friends.

Charles spent most of his life in Boston, MA, raising his family there while dedicating his career to the MA Transit Authority. Upon retirement at 59 yrs old, he and Huena moved to The Villages, FL, where they enjoyed a lifestyle of golfing, socializing, and some well-deserved travel.

When Huena passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack in 2002, Charlie joined his daughter Barbara & her family in Southlake, TX, where he spent the remainder of his life.

While in TX, he became very active in the Southlake Senior Center, holding leadership roles over many years, he was involved in City government, served as an Usher for the APEX Arts League's cultural events, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Memorial services will be held at 4:30pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Foust & Son Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX.
