Betty was born in Fontana, Kansas on April 29, 1930. On September 23, 1949, she married Raymond Schump at the Methodist Church in Herington, Kansas. The family moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1960.
Betty’s hobbies included Jeeping, fishing, traveling, crocheting, oil painting, gardening, and collecting teapots.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Dennis Ray (Sharon) of Loveland, and Daryl Dean (Dalene) of Greeley, as well as two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step-grandsons, and five step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous other family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond, son Garry, her adopted parents, three brothers; Edward Minch, Harry Karr, and Harold Karr, and her sister Catherine Wilson.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 – 10:30 A.M, Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Linn-Grove Cemetery.
