Born in Wauneta, Nebraska on November 27, 1925 to Ernest and Thelma Warren.
Survived by his wife, Elva Warren of Greeley; sons, Michael Warren and Russell Warren both of Hudson and Dallas Warren (wife, Karla) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; daughter, Barbara Curtis (husband, Dwaine) of Windsor, Colorado.
Preceded in death by his son, Steven Warren and first grandson, Jeff Curtis.
Ernest had ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ernest served in the Army during WWII in Japan.
Ernest and Elva were married for 68 years. Ernest retired from UPPR after 40 years in 1989.
Ernest was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout Wyoming. He was a devoted fan to his UW Cowboys.
Ernest will be laid to rest next to his son, Steve, at Fort Bridger Cemetery in Fort Bridger, Wyoming on June 24, 2017.
