We just learned of Karen's passing today. We have known the Walso family since the early 1950s. While we played cards with her parents, our kids and the Brantners, the Bindels and the Walsos played together. I, Stella, worked at the Weld County Fair with Karen and appreciated her ready smile. Our condolences to all her family. We know she will be missed. May God bring you comfort in this grieving time.

Karen was a wonderful asset to Shawsheen school. She was a volunteer and worked hard to assist the teachers and help the kids.
The best part of having her at school was her upbeat personality and super smile. She was always ready to help in anyway she could.
Though I haven't seen her for awhile I will miss her.

Deeply sorry to hear of Karens passing, such fun memories of Joslins days, her laughter was contagious, once we started laughing we couldn't stop. She was always there if you needed a friend.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Karen was such a blessing to my grandson Calvin this year! He loved her so much as his preschool teacher. I would pick him up, he was so happy and you could see the love she had for her students when she would say good-bye to each one. I pray for God's comfort in this very difficult time.

Mrs. Schott was a bright light to all those lucky enough to cross her path. You could see the love she had for her career, her “kids” - aka students, her coworkers, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her family. She was my sons preschool teacher last year and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to get to know her. She will be dearly missed.

Alan and Family,

While we were taken back by Karen's passing, we rejoice in her going home. We also rejoice in the memories. She taught several of our grandkids years ago and we were grateful for her loving patience.

May the Lord comfort and lead you through this time of sadness and lost.

Alan, Ashley and Michael,
We are very saddened to hear of Karen's passing. She was a longtime friend and a salon colleague back in the day at Joslins for 10 years. She was hired about the same time as myself and I felt a safe connection with her as a newbie stylist. Karen had the bubbliest of personalities and I will never forget her giggles throughout our times together. She will be remembered as a caring woman with a beautiful family and life that she built together with them. You were her pride and joy.
I still remember a memory at the lake way back when, we were single and getting together on weekends, we were in the water and she didn't believe me that I had shaved my legs because she bumped up against them and demanded they were stubbly. She made me laugh so hard because of her teasing me. She had a boisterous laugh and a jovial personality and even though I didn't get to see her often, when I bumped into her in a store it was always good to see her. Rest In Peace my friend.
