Lucille was born at home on May 6th, 1925 in Lawler, Iowa. She is the daughter of John Henry, (Harry) Brannon and Bridget Josephine, (Josie) Colwell. In 1932, during the great depression, the family moved from Lawler to Independence. Lucille graduated from St. John’s High School in 1942.
She married Norbert Martin Hoffmann on her birthday, May 6th 1946 at St. John’s church in Independence.
In 1955, she and Norbert move to Casper, Wyoming where they remained until 1961. It was at this time the family moved to Greeley, which has been home for the last 51 years.
Lucille and Norbert along with other family members were “founding” members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Lucille is survived by her son, Michael Vincent Hoffmann, (Mike) and his wife Eileen of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter, Janet Ann, (Jan) Milenski and her husband, Rich of Greeley and Alan Martin Hoffmann also of Greeley. She was quite fond of her grandchildren, Emerson Milenski, (wife Elena) living in Moscow, Russia as well as Barrett Milenski, (wife Amy) who preside in Salt Lake City. Lucille was elated to be able to know and share herself with her three great grand children, Atonina, (Toni) and Daniil, (Dani) of Moscow and Samuel, (Sam) of Salt Lake City.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Fort Logan Military Cemetery.
