OBITUARY

Rhonda Jean Arisman

April 10, 1960July 31, 2013

Rhonda Jean Arisman, 53, of Greeley, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont. She was born on April 10, 1960 in Aurora to Joseph Howard & Sharon Darlene (Havey) Linch.

Rhonda was raised in Bailey, Colorado and graduated from Platte Canyon High School. She ultimately moved to Greeley, where she married Bill Walter and started her family. Rhonda later married and divorced Mike Arisman. Her love for her boys, Chad and Chris, and for her step-daughters, Keri and Karli has been the highlight of her life. She would be the first to tell you though, that the apple of her eye was her granddaughter, Aidan.

Rhonda was beautiful, intelligent, generous, stubborn and independent. She spent her entire life caring for and giving to other people. She was a self-made banker – working her way up from teller to loan officer. These last few years, working as an independent contractor with the FDIC afforded her the opportunity to travel and meet some great new friends. The time spent in Puerto Rico was a highlight of her life and a dream come true. If you were to look at how Rhonda lived her life, it would be immediately apparent what she valued: her relationship with Jesus Christ, family and friends. Material goods have never been very important to Rhonda. She poured her life and her resources into all the people she loved.

Rhonda is survived by her sons, Chad Walter of Milliken and Chris Walter of Greeley; step-children, Keri (Tree) Voigt of Greeley and Karli Arisman of Fort Collins; mother, Sharon Linch of Greeley; siblings, Sheri (Shawn) Kirkpatrick of Greeley; Crystal Barnum of Higden, Arkansas, Sara (Daryl) Leatz of Traverse City, Michigan, Mary Lou Henze (Steve Larsen) of Thompson Falls, Montana, Joe (Alice) Linch of North Pole, Alaska, and Penny (Dan) Taylor of Ault; granddaughter, Aidan Paige Walter of Milliken; 22 nieces and nephews, Jessica, Dusten, Julie, Dina, Daniella, Codi, Christina, Rusty, Kyle, Peter, JoAnna, Amanda, Mike, Mark, Tiffany, Joe, Miriam, Marty, Garrett and Sterling; 17 great-nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, Joe Linch and a brother, John Linch.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at Stoddard Funeral Home.

Rhonda, I was in shock to have heard of your passing just today. You touched my life in the short time I knew you while working at Kroll together. I always thought that we would see each other again and maybe we shall in the hereafter. Rest in peace, sweet lady. I will miss you. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rhonda when our sister banks in Colorado merged. I feel like we immediately had a connection and became friends. Maybe not getting to see each other very often. But the telephone was our friend. We stayed in touch when we both lost our jobs. But I believe we were better for it with our new journeys. She had an amazing time with all her travels. I loved hearing about them. She enjoyed all her new adventures. But her family was the most important thing to her. We did have an opportunity to go to Flatiron's Church together and share Gods word. She definitely was a child of God. I will miss her so much. But know she is in a glorious place watching out for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are for all of her family and friends. God Bless.

Rhonda was our niece and there will be an empty place in our hearts forever. When Ranea and I got married she had given us an open bible statue. That is where Rhonda's heart always was, thinking of others. She had the heart that others only dream of having. She was also my best friend. I will forever miss you sweetie.

Rhonda and I worked together at United Bank and New Frontier Bank. She was a beautiful person, inside and out! She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May you find comfort in the fond memories you have of her. She is now in our eternal home, free from pain and suffering. May God Bless you all during this time.
