He was born October 11, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Allen Thurman and Elsie Mae (Sears) Kiger.
Don owned and operated Kiger Enterprises for several years. He was a lifetime member and past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #1077, Greencastle and a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
He is survived by his children, Connie (husband, Mike) Bourne, Jerry (wife, Debbie) Kiger, and Kathy (husband, John) VonTress; four grandchildren, Jackie, Jessica, Jordan, and Erika; and three great grandchildren, Liam, Katie, and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel (Curtis) Kiger; a brother, and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Forest Hill Cemetery with interment to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
