Born May 4, 1956 in Greencastle, he was the son of Duffy and Almeda Hughes and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1975”. He married Rhonda L. (Branham) Hughes on June 9, 2002 and she survives.
Jonathan worked at IAC in Greencastle for 18 years and had retired from the Indiana National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; children, Ashley (Michael) Hughes, Allie (Johnny) Hughes, Vashti Monnett, Brad (Amanda) Cormican, and Lisa (Dave) Cormican Titus; two sisters, Carolyn McCloud and Felicia Jones; a brother, Michael Hughes; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Sunday, December 22nd at the funeral home
