

She was retired from Hurd Lock.
She attended Pleasant Vale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Grubbs is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Allen and Terrie Grubbs of Greeneville; two grandsons: Robbie Grubbs and Zackery Grubbs of Greeneville; two granddaughters: Stephanie Fann and Jacqueline Grubbs of Greeneville; great granddaughter: Kira Grubbs; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Ruth and Eugene Duncan of Afton and Faye Smith of Greeneville; brother and two sisters-in-law: Jay and Laura McAmis of Morristown and Christine Miller of Chuckey; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Doug Rose of Limestone and Jennifer Jeffers of Chuckey.
She was a daughter of the late Elbert and Irene Mercer McAmis and was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Grubbs; a granddaughter: Brandy Grubbs: a great grandson: Kristian Grubbs; and a brother: John McAmis.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The body is at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home where it will remain until time for services.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Pleasant Vale Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gene Swatzell and Rev. Dwayne Steele officiating.
Her pallbearers are Jimmy Marion, Bill Huffman, Dewey Thomas, Tom Hite, Charles Smith, and Mike Miller.
Her friends and neighbors, her church family, and staff and employees of Caris Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers.
