OBITUARY

William "Doug" Brown

William “Doug” Brown, 67, passed away on Tuesday at Laughlin Healthcare.

He was a farmer.

He was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and Warrensburg Lodge #621 F & AM.

Survivors include his wife Robin Sauceman Brown; step-daughters: Ashley (Chad) Higginbotham, and Andrea (Brent) Gray; two special grandchildren: Chloe Higginbotham and Barrett Gray; sister: Libby Talus; niece: Janet Talus (Andy) Helminger; nephew: Brian (Emily) Talus; and step mother: Sara Pat Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father: Dudley Brown; mother: Nannie Ruth Brown; grandparents: J.C. Ayers, Edna Lillian Ayers, Jessie Brown and Teulen Brown; uncle: Ralph Brown; and two aunts: Rebecca Justice and Margaret Ayers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 7 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be on Friday at 10 am in Bewley’s Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 9 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alan Hartman, Wesley Brown, Alan Brown, Steve Sauceman, Brent Gray and Chad Higginbotham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Riley, Eddie Brown, members of Mason Lodge, George Jesse and Charles Jesse.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the west wing staff of Laughlin Healthcare Center.

My condolences, and deepest sympathy with/for all of the family. My loving thoughts and prayers with all. I am so very sorry to hear this about Doug. He was so good to my grandmother Flora Guinn, he was there if she needed anything. He baled the hay for her. He was a good friend to all. Hugs for you Robin, kids, grandkids and all the family. Love to all.
