Mrs. Evelyn Braswell McKeel

GREENSBORO: Evelyn Braswell McKeel, age 88 of Greensboro passed away peacefully Feb. 12th at 2:10 a.m. at Beacon Place Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro. She was born in Wilson N.C. on March 15, 1922. Mrs. McKeel a member of Clifton Rd. Baptist Church. Retired from Carolina Urgent Care Center where she was a physical therapist with her son, Dr. Gary W. McKeel. She was an avid gardener, floral designer and a true southern culinary chef! She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin Thomas McKeel, one sister, Alma Ferrell, brothers, Marvin and Joseph Braswell. Mrs. McKeel is survived by son, Dr. Gary W. McKeel of Greensboro, brother, Billy Braswell and wife Dorothy of Emerald Isle, several nieces and nephews and a score of wonderful friends and patients. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Tuesday Feb. 15th at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm St. Greensboro. Followed by a celebration service at 11:00 in the Chapel. Graveside service at 4:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery 400 College St. Wilson, N.C. Rev. Eugene D. Cheek will be officiating.
