I met Kathi at a Rotary meeting and instantly liked and trusted her. We worked together to build teamwork and morale at my company. No matter what she always had that infectious smile.

Kathiann was a dynamic leader, a kindhearted friend, & genuine professional.
One of those rare personalities that only yielded good memories & positive perspective.
A blessing to everyone.

Kathi and I worked together while she was with a TV rep firm in Atlanta and I was the national sales manager at WNRW-TV. We became friends through our working relationship and ultimately, worked together with each other when she came to work as an account executive at the station. All of this happened in the late 80's early 90's. We joked that I was the one responsible for bringing her to the Triad!

As relationships within broadcasting do on a frequent basis, my career took me in one direction and her in another, but when she returned to the market as the GM of WCWG we reconnected. Shortly thereafter other angels in the market scooped her up and she became an integral part of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce as well as the business community in general.

Kathi was tenacious, singularly-focused, high in ambition & drive. Never self-focused but more so on others. A servant leader if you will. She was driven to grow, a self-learner. Always testing her boundaries and comfort zone. She was Black & White and she called it that way too!

It was indeed my privilege to know and work with her. Her light was snuffed out far too early as I know she had more plans. But then so does God and he has seen fit to call her Spirit home to be with him.

I appreciated having her in my life and as a friend. I mourn her passing, but I celebrate her graduation! Peace be with you, my friend! God's peace be with you!

Wight, Becky, Joe, Kitty B and Itsy- my heart is with you. I will never ever forget my Kathi Lester, incredible boss, friend, teacher. No matter how hard of a day I was having, she always said things will work out Larice, things do happen for a reason. I struggle with this now- our world is a smaller place without Kathi in it. Peace and love, Larice and Joe White
